After our safaris, we were pooped, dirty and ready for some downtime so we spent a few days mostly relaxing in Cape Town and Hermanus.

Enormous wealth inequity. Legacy of apartheid, which was officially dismantled in 1993 but effects are still very apparent.

We had a driver take us to the Cape of Good Hope and on to Hermanus, where we watched whales from the shore.

Back in the states after a month in Africa
